This is really exciting… Dean was my prof at the U of O in the early 90′s and it’s fantastic to see both he and his wife get this honor. He is an amazing musician… I still remember when he played Beethoven’s Pathetique Sonata for us in music history class as an example of the classical era. It stunned all of us — the passion, the excellence. Wow!
